Royal trip to Machupicchu!

We set up this program for people with altitude difficulties. It's a great tour combining the Capital of the Incas(Cusco) and Sacred Valley of the Incas. Also, we will walk the short sacred Inca Trail to Machupicchu. This journey is for trekkers who don't want to spend much time in the mountains but still want to feel the charm of the rainforests and the energetic view of the mountains. You will see great mountain scenery and the rainforest where many animals such as hummingbirds live as well as flora like flowers, orchids, and begonias grow..

Itinerary!

Cusco TravelDay 1:

Arrive in Cusco at any time.

However we must know your flight details for the reception and transfer to your hotel. Today there is planned activity so you can enjoy the city. Walk slowly to get used to the altitude. .

Day 2: Sacred valley

This is a wonderful day driving and walking through the Sacred Valley of the Incas.

You will see a fascinating Indian market at Pisaq which is a good place to buy gifts. You also will appreciate the marvelous Inca town of Ollantaytambo. These places are complemented by great mountain scenery that the Sacred Valley offers you. We are going to spend the night at a nice hotel in the town of Ollantaytambo.

Tour machu picchuDay 3: Machupicchu Journey

Today you will take a 1:1/2 hour train ride to Chachabamba (km 104) which is the starting point of the trek. The trail initially crosses the river by a suspension bridge after which the temples of Chachabamba appear. Afterwards, the trail climbs gently up to Wiñayhuayna which is another lovely Incan temple with impressive terraces. You will learn the history of this place from an experienced guide. After your lunch you will climb up the Incan steps to the Sun Gate in order to see the sunset on Machupicchu and the surrounding green mountains. From the Sun Gate, the trail descends gently to Machupicchu. After exploring Machupicchu you will take the bus down to Aguas Calientes and have accommodations in a hotel. In the evening you can go to the natural hot springs to bathe and relax.

Machu picchuDay 4: Aguas calientes-Machupicchu-Cusco

You will take the first bus up to Machupicchu with your guide and get to the entrance before other tourists. The whole day can be dedicated to exploring this extraordinary Inca monument. Later in the afternoon, you will travel by train back to Cusco. You will arrive in the evening and be transfered to your hotel.

Day 5: Departure from Cusco.

Transfer to the airport.

  • Transportation- Transfer in/out airport/hotel/airport, private bus for the Sacred Valley tour, tourist train from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes and from Aguas Calientes to Cusco, bus up and down from Aguas Calientes to Machupicchu, transfer to your hotel.
  • Entrance Fees- For the Sacred Valley tour, Inca Trail 2d/1n and Machupicchu.
  • Guide- Licensed bilingual tour guides.
  • Accommodations.- Room with two beds: 2 nights in Cusco ***Hotels, 1 night in Aguas Calientes **Hotel, 1 night in Ollantaytambo ***Hotel. If you would like a private room there is an additional cost of US$20.00 per night.
  • Others Items- Local guides for permanent assistance, first aid kit.

What is not included?

  •  Meals.- Lunch and dinner while you stay in cities; You must consider a budget from US$10 to US$20 for each meal. We will assist you at this issues. Tips for the staff and Airport taxes.

Recommended Things To Take:

On this tour we will travel by train, and then we are going to trek. You should take a few changes of clothing. Don't forget your wind coat and rain gear. You can carry it in a suitcase or backpack, Also it is a good idea to bring a daypack, warm jacket or fleece, t-shirts, shorts and long pants, sun hat, sun block and insect repellent, small towel and bathing suit (hot springs) camera, snacks such as a chocolates, energy bars, etc and emergency money.

Payment Details:

We require a non-refundable trek deposit of US$150 per person. The deposit can be sent by a WESTERN UNION or to our BANK ACCOUNT money transfer. This is the fastest and most secure form of payment in Peru. The money transfer should be in the name of SUNRISE EXPEDITIONS TOUR OPERATOR E.I.R.L. Once you arrive in Cusco you must pay the remaining balance in cash prior to beginning your tour. We accept both US Dollars and Peruvian Soles (local currency).
