Itinerary!

Peru travelDay 1: Arrival in Cusco

Transfer to your hotel. Full briefing about Cusco and complete review of your tour itinerary. This day there is no formal planned activity.

Day 2: Sacred valley tour.

Today we travel towards the green fertile valley west of Cusco, where we will be rewarded by stunning mounting scenery. We will visit the Pisaq ruins and local market. The tour ends at the picturesque village of Ollantaytambo, which was considered the main Inca living town in the valley.

inca trail peruDay 3 - 6 Inka trail to Machupicchu.-

One hour morning trip to km. 82 (Pisqhqka'chu) by our tourist bus, which is the starting point of the trek.The local porters and guides will organize every detail for you. You will only have to carry your hand bags with snacks, water, camera, etc and enjoy the splendid mountain scenery and the fascinating Incan monuments along the route. On the final day you will climb up the steps to the sun gate to see the sunrise at Machupicchu and surrounding Andean mountains. Later in the afternoon we will take the train back along the Urubamba valley to Cusco, arriving there in the evening. You will be transferred to your hotel. During the trek, all meals are included and we also offer a vegetarian menu option.

Note.- If you do not prefer to trek extensively, we have an alternative program to travel by train to Machupicchu, with an extra night in Aguas Calientes. For this option you must kindly let us know in advance.

Amazon peruDay 7-9: Jungle Trip.

Early in the morning we will transfer you to the airport for a 45 minutes flight to Puerto Maldonado in the low lands of the jungle and have accommodation in the jungle lodge, beside the Madre de Dios river. From here, together with your bilingual official tour guide, you will explore all the enchanting things that the jungle can offer. Afterwards, you will be transferred back to the airport and flown back to Cusco and you will be transferred to your hotel.

Day 10: Cusco to Puno.

Fantastic journey through the Peruvian south lands, crossing the high altiplano. You will visit interesting places and stop along volcanic hot springs. We will arrive in the afternoon at Puno, a small city located at the banks of the highest navigatable lake of the world.

Titicaca lakeDay 11, 12: Tour to Titicaca Lake.

Today we will travel by a motor boat toward the fascinating floating islands of Uros. After that we continue towards Takile and walk across the lovely island observering the typical agriculture on Incan terraces; all this followed by an overnight immersion into Peruvian rural lifewith a homestay in Amantani a small island. In the afternoon we return to Puno. And enjoy accommodation in a comfortable hotel. .

You must carry your day-to-day packings such as your camera, snacks and some drinkable water.
  • Camping Equipment: We provide brand new 4 season four people capacity tents for two people, Therm-a-rest, dining room tent, kitchen tent, toilet tent, seats, tables, tent for the guides, tent for the porters, kitchen gear and backpacks, warm clothes and life insurance for the porters.
  • Accommodations: 6 nights ***hotel, 2 nights jungle lodge, 1 night with a local family and 3 nights in camping tents.
  • Others Items: Local Guide available for permanent assistance, first aid kit.

What is not included?

  • Meals: All Lunch and dinners except on the Inca trail and jungle lodge. You should consider a budget from US$15 to US$25 for each meal in an average restaurant. We will assist you with all local matters
  • Sleeping Bag.- You can rent it from us for US$15 for the entire inca trail trek., Airport Taxes and tips for the staff.

Important!

Recommended things to take.

You must know that you can buy some clothes in the local markets; any way pack few changes of clothes in your suitcase or your big bag pack, also sleeping bag ( you can rented at SUNRISE office), mineral water one litre, rain gear or poncho (plastic poncho cam be purchase in Cusco), Hiking shoes runners and extra shoes, sandals, warm jacket or fleece and wind coot, t-shirts, shorts and long pants, sun hat and wool hat, flashlight and extra batteries, sun block and insect repellent, toilet paper and garbage bag, small towel and bathing suit (hot springs), camera, extra film and extra batteries for your camera, snacks, chocolates, energy bars, and walking steak(optional) as well the ones you thing is good for you.

A wonderful trip that does not have to doubt to reserve if you want to see the wonders of Peru and their traditions Anybody who likes to trek can do it. The Inca trail is 45 km long and a moderate 4 days hike. In this tour every one is allowed to pick its own speed and the highest point we go on this trek is 4200 meters. From there, you will be rewarded by a beautiful mountain scenery (see the reports). If you do not prefer to trek extensively, we have an alternative program by train to Machupicchu, with an extra night in Aguas Calientes, for this option you must kindly let us know in advance. . Payment Details.

We require a non-refundable trek deposit of US$350 per person. The deposit can be sent by a WESTERN UNION or to our BANK ACCOUNT money transfer. This is the fastest and most secure form of payment in Peru. The money transfer should be in the name of SUNRISE EXPEDITIONS TOUR OPERATOR E.I.R.L. Once you arrive in Cusco you must pay the remaining balance in cash prior to beginning your tour. We accept both US Dollars and Peruvian Soles (local currency).
