Machupicchu & Amazon Adventure!

We set up this program to show you the two most beautiful regions of Peru: the Andes and the jungle. In this program you are going to appreciate the greatness of the Andes, be able to meet its inhabitants and visit markets where you can buy handcrafts directly from producers. Your guided trip to Machupicchu will help you understand the past life of the Incas. Afterwards you are going to visit the deepest part of the jungle. Itinerary!

CuzcoDay 1: Cusco.

You can arrive in Cusco at any time. However we must know your flight details for the reception and transfer to your hotel. On this day there is no planned activity, so you can enjoy the city. Walk slowly to get used to the altitude.

Day 2: Sacred valley tour.

A wonderful day driving and walking through the spectacular Sacred Valley of the Incas surrounded by stunning mountain scenery. You will see a fascinating typical market at Pisaq which is a good place to buy handicrafts and gifts. You also will see the marvallous Inca villages of Pisaq and Ollantaytambo. We will spend the night in a nice hotel in Ollantaytambo.

Machu picchu in peruDay 3, 4: Machupicchu.-

This morning you will take the train to the picturesque town of Aguas Calientes. Here you can relax in the natural hot springs or trek the surrounding mountains. The following day we catch the first bus up to Machupicchu to see the sunrise with a bilingual guide that will take you on a tour to explore and learn about Machupicchu. After the tour you will have free time to explore and climb the famous mountain of WaynaPicchu. You could also hike to the Sun gate. Late in the afternoon we board the train back through the Urubamba valley to Cusco. You will then be transferred to your hotel.

Day 5, 6: Amazon Jungle.

Early in the morning we will bring you to the airport for a 30 minute flight to Puerto Maldonado to the lowlands of the jungle. You will have accommodations in a lodge located beside Madre de Dios River. You will travel by a motorized canoe with an experienced guide who will explain the biodiversity and wildlife while you explore this magnificent jungle.

Day 7: Lima or Cusco.

Depending on your itinerary the flight will be to Lima or Cusco.

  • Transportation: Transfer in/out airport/hotel/airport, private bus for the Sacred Valley tour, tourist train from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes and from Aguas Calientes to Cusco, bus up and down from Aguas Calientes to Machupicchu, transfer to your hotel, flight tickets round trip from Cusco to Puerto Maldonado.
  • Azentrance Fees: For the Sacred Valley tour and Machupicchu.
  • Guide: Licensed bilingual tour guides, local guides for the Jungle trip.
  • Accommodations: Room with two beds: 2 nights in Cusco ***Hotel, 1 night in Ollantaytambo ***Hotel, 1 night in Aguas Calientes **Hotel, 2 nights in the Jungle lodge. If you would like a private room there is an additional cost of US$20.00 per night.
  • Others Items: Local guide for permanent assistance, first aid kit.

What is not included?

  • Meals.- Lunch and dinner while you stay in Cusco city and Aguas Calientes twon (Machupicchu) You must consider a budget from US$10 to US$20 . We will assist you at this issues. Airport taxes and tips for the staff.

Recommended things to take.

  • On this tour we will travel by train, bus and airplane so please pack wisely. You should take a few changes of clothing. Don't forget your wind coat and rain gear. You can carry it in a suitcase or backpack, Also it is a good idea to bring a daypack, warm jacket or fleece, t-shirts, shorts and long pants, sun hat, flashlight and extra batteries, sun block and insect repellent, toilet paper and garbage bag, small towel and bathing suit (hot springs), camera, extra film and extra batteries for your camera, binoculars, snacks such as a chocolates, energy bars, etc and emergency Money.

In 1874 for order of the Peruvian government the cartographer German Gohring ,already registers the names of Machupicchu and Wayna Picchu.Before Hiram Bingham , farmer Agustin Lizarraga Established in the zone, during his explorations in search of agricultural lands in the years of 1900 he came to machu picchu.Others settlers Like melchor Arteaga , Justo A Ochoa , Gabino Sanchez , Enrique Palma , Bejar , Monrroy and also Dr.Tomas E Peine ,between others already they knew of machupicchu.

Payment Details

We require a non-refundable trek deposit of US$150 per person. The deposit can be sent by a WESTERN UNION or to our BANK ACCOUNT money transfer. This is the fastest and most secure form of payment in Peru. The money transfer should be in the name of SUNRISE EXPEDITIONS TOUR OPERATOR E.I.R.L. Once you arrive in Cusco you must pay the remaining balance in cash prior to beginning your tour. We accept both US Dollars and Peruvian Soles (local currency).
