Day 1: Cusco. Arrive in Cusco at any time.
However, we must know your flight details for reception and transfer to your hotel. There will be a briefing about the city and the activities. There is no planned activity on this day. You will have all day to explore the city. Walk slowly to get used to the altitude.
Day 2: Sacred valley tour.
Today will be a wonderful day to visit the Sacred Valley of the Incas by bus. You will see a fascinating typical market in Pisaq village which is a good place to buy handicrafts and gifts. You will also appreciate the marvelous Inca town of Ollantaytambo and its archaeological site. These are complemented by the great mountain scenery that the Valley offers. We are going to spend the night at a nice hotel in the village of Ollantaytambo.
Day 3, 4, 5, 6: Inka trail to Machupicchu.-
Early morning we leave by bus to Pisqhqk'chu(km. 82) which is the starting point for the trek which takes one hour. The local porters and guides are going to organize everything and carry your gear. You will just carry a daypack which will make it easier to walk and enjoy the spectacular mountain scenery as well as the fascinating Inca monuments and temples. The last day we start the hike early escorted by an experienced guide to arrive in time for the sunrise at Machupicchu.
Late in the afternoon we take the train along the Urubamba valley to Cusco. We will arrive in Cusco in the evening and you will be transfered to your hotel.
Day 7: Cusco to Puno.
The journey takes us to the south across the high plains passing remote villages. We are going to reach Puno in the evening. This city is located on the banks of Lake Titicaca which is the highest navigable lake in the world.
Day 8, 9: Lake Titicaca & Bus to Arequipa.
We pick you up from the hotel and take you on a motor boat excursion on the waters of Lake Titicaca. First we will visit the unique Uros floating Island, which are inhabited by fishermen and hunters. They use the cattail, a type of bush which grows in the lake to create conditions that ensure that the island stays afloat. Today the inhabitants still speak Quechua and the Aymara language. Next we go to the island of to Amantani to have dinner and spend the night with a local family with basic accommodations. This is an opportunity to learn more about their culture and to enjoy the hospitality of a typical Amantani home. Early the next day, you will be able to watch the sunrise over the lake and visit the families who live in the surrounding area. After that, we will visit Takile, another amazing island in the heart of the lake where people live and conserve their ancient traditions. In the evening, we will take a night first class bus to Arequipa (6 hours) and have accomadations in a hotel.
Day 10, 11: Colca Canyon Tour.
YOU WILL HAVE A TOUR THROUGH THE ANDES TO SEE THE FLORA AND FAUNA. ALONG THE ROUTE WE SEE magnificent views complemented by the flora and fauna. We will see Andean alpacas, vicuñas, llamas and guanacos as well as a variety of birds. In the evening we will arrive at Chivay, a beautiful small colonial village where you can enjoy a bath in the natural hot springs. Early the next day, we travel to La Cruz del Condor to appreciate the world's deepest canyon where the majestic Condors soar high in the sky. After that we will return stopping at a traditional market and visit small towns. Once we arrive to Chivay we will enjoy the local cuisine. The grilled alpaca is highly recommended. In the afternoon, we will return to Arequipa, and you will be transfered to your hotel.
Day 12: Arequipa - Nazca.
This day we will have free time in the morning and you can wander around the lovely city of Arequipa or you can rest. We recommended that you visit Santa Catalina museum where the last Inca mummy Juanita was found on top of the snowcapped Ampato Mountain with 18 other mummies. In the evening we will take the first class bus to Nazca arriving there in the morning and have accommodations in a hotel.
Day 13: Flight over the Nazca lines.
Nazca is located in the heart of the costal desert. Here we will fly over the mysterious Nazca lines. This can be done in the morning and afterwards we will continue the tour to the Chauchilla: Nazcas cemetery where there are mummies aged over 1,500 year. Then we will visit the local artisans in a city who still maintain ancient traditions and technology. Later, we will have accommodations in a hotel.
Day 14.- Paracas, Islas Ballestas.
Early in the morning we head to the port of Chaco for an exceptional tour of wildlife in the ocean and on the island. We will visit several islands and see fantastic scenery with a naturalist as a guide. We also offer an optional tour to Huaca-China where you can try sandboarding.
Day 15: Lima.
n the morning, you will travel to Lima along the ocean road and take in the beauty of the coast. Upon arrival in Lima, you will be transferred to your hotel.
Day 16.
After your breakfast We will transfer you to the airport..
